Cool Whip: Jazz S+M Clip

Ever since I launched the blog, I've been wanting to record a theme song for the paddles using the sound of spanking for the percussion. Kind of like the songs where the audience claps along for the beat, except not, quite. And then I found this, via Tiny Nibbles, Violet Blue's blog. It's a short jazz track from the end of an album of recorded S+M sessions that used to sell out of the back of girly mags in the 60s. The album cover and MP3 come from Show and Tell Music, a site that serves as sort of an orphanage for thrift store music and album cover art.

I'd still like to do my own little track, but since it's kind of on the back burner at the moment please enjoy the clip below for now.

Oh, and here's an idea! If you have a paddle handy, some recording gear and even the slightest musical ability, feel free to record your own ass-slapping theme song and email it to me. I'd be happy to post it here for the enjoyment of all.
