Not What Is Usually Meant By "Firewall"

The electrical wiring in the wall of my office caught fire this morning. Sigh. This is not the first time the wiring in my house has burned, either. I'm a little freaked out… If I'd been in Chicago, the whole house could have gone up, since the outlet that burned is the one I use to leave a light on when I'm away.

I'm waiting on the electrician to call back, and using an extension cord to power the phone, modem and laptop. Not what you would call an ideal scenario. I'm not really sure whether to be more afraid of the house burning down or what the bill is gonna be to keep it from burning down.
